Little Kitchen Academy to Open Second Location in Ontario

News / Articles

Every day at Little Kitchen Academy we are inspired by the joy and delight on our students faces when they enter our kitchen. With over 17,000 student visits so far at our Point Grey flagship in Vancouver, we have seen the impact of our Montessori-inspired pedagogy firsthand and can’t wait for more children globally to experience Little Kitchen Academy for the first time! That’s why we are delighted to announce a new location coming to Mississauga, Ontario with plans to open in spring 2022. This will be the second location in Ontario, with the first in Oakville opening this summer!

Both locations are being opened by Felicia Sia, whose passion for Little Kitchen Academy has only grown since she began the process to open her first location in Oakville. “When I first heard about LKA, I was so inspired and knew this was the right opportunity for me,” said Felicia. “After meeting the LKA team, experiencing the exceptional start up process they have created, and seeing the overwhelming demand in this area, I knew that a second location was right for me. I can’t wait to start welcoming students into my kitchen and changing lives from scratch!”

“Felicia has been an incredible partner since day one, and it’s exciting that after experiencing our ‘Starting from Scratch’ process, she chose to open a second location,” said Brian Curin, CEO of Little Kitchen Academy. “This is an especially important deal for us because not only does it show that we are supporting our franchisees in the right way to ensure success, it also means that we now exclusively have multi-unit franchisees in our system, which is rare in the franchising world.”

The Mississauga location represents the second in Ontario. With plans to open 423 global locations by 2025, this marks another important step for LKA towards achieving that target. Little Kitchen Academy is currently seeking like-minded multi-unit franchisees and development partners based exclusively in AB, select markets in BC, and ON in Canada and AZ, CA, CO, FL, IL, MS, NC, OR, TX, WA, WI in the US. Internationally, LKA is focused on expanding into Australia, India, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, MENA region, Singapore, Spain, and the U.K. If you think you have the right ingredients to develop a market, a region, or a country, get in touch to begin the process.
