Little Kitchen Academy announces two new locations in Toronto, Ontario

News / Articles

On the heels of our recent announcement of the upcoming openings of locations in Oakville this summer and Mississauga next year, we are delighted to share that we will be welcoming more children in Ontario into our kitchen with two more locations in the Toronto area! Both locations in Toronto are being opened by Hayley Sexton and Eamon Clark.

When Hayley and Eamon first learned about Little Kitchen Academy, they knew it was the right fit for them and their growing family. Both Hayley and Eamon grew up in the Toronto area and feel deep ties to the community. Eamon, a 9x Canadian Oyster shucking champion, and Hayley, a teacher at a local Montessori school, are the perfect pair to bring Little Kitchen Academy to Toronto. Their first location will be in The Beach neighbourhood with plans to open in Winter 2021, with a second location in Leaside expected to open in Spring 2022.

“We were so inspired when we learned about Little Kitchen Academy and knew it was the perfect opportunity for us,” said Hayley Sexton. “We’ve both worked with our families for many years, and now to find an opportunity that brings together both of our skillsets where we can work together is incredibly exciting.” Eamon Clark added, “this opportunity means so much to us because we know what a positive impact we can have on the communities that raised us. As parents, we can’t wait to bring our two children in for their very first sessions and see them experience changing lives from scratch firsthand!”

“As soon as I met Hayley and Eamon, I knew they had the right ingredients to bring Little Kitchen Academy to Toronto,” said Felicity Curin, Founder, President, and COO of Little Kitchen Academy. “Their passion, excitement, and joy for everything LKA was immediately evident and they have a wonderful balance of Montessori and culinary experience, which is so rare. We keep hearing from parents in Ontario asking when we will be opening more locations, so I’m delighted that we will be able to reach more students in more areas when Hayley and Eamon’s locations open.”

These two locations represent the third and fourth in Ontario. With plans to open 423 global locations by 2025, this marks another important step for LKA towards achieving that target. Little Kitchen Academy is currently seeking like-minded multi-unit franchisees and development partners based exclusively in AB, select markets in BC, and ON in Canada and AZ, CA, CO, FL, IL, MS, NC, OR, TX, WA, and WI in the US. Internationally, LKA is focused on expanding into Australia, India, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, MENA region, Singapore, Spain, and the U.K. If you think you have the right ingredients to develop a market, a region, or a country, get in touch to begin the process.
