Today, Little Kitchen Academy (LKA), the key ingredient for an independent child and the first-of-its-kind, Montessori-inspired cooking academy for kids ages three through teen, announced it will welcome the first students to its newest location, LKA The Beach, on June 18th. The much-anticipated location in Toronto’s tight-knit The Beach community is the company’s first in the city of Toronto and second in the Greater Toronto Area, with LKA Oakville open and operating since July 2021. Hayley Sexton, a Montessori guide at a local school, and Eamon Clark, a 10x Canadian oyster shucking champion, are opening LKA’s newest location. Registration is now open for Summer Season at LKA The Beach.

“We are so excited to bring the gift of practical life skills and independence to our community,” said Hayley Sexton, franchise partner for LKA The Beach. “The support we have had so far from local families, schools, and businesses who are excited for us to open has been truly incredible!” Added Eamon Clark, “We can’t wait to welcome our first students to LKA The Beach this summer and give our students the opportunity to build their confidence and independence, both in and out of the kitchen.”

LKA The Beach is located at 2052 Queen Street East in Toronto, Ontario. There are currently five LKA locations open and operating in Canada and the USA, with more than 140 in development globally.

“Hayley and Eamon are such incredible, purpose-driven people,” said Brian Curin, co-founder/co-CEO and president of Little Kitchen Academy. “The combination of their backgrounds, one in Montessori education and the other in the culinary world, make them the perfect team to open this new location in a wonderful, family-oriented community like The Beach. I know that they will have an important, long-lasting impact on their community as they begin changing lives from scratch.”

This will be the company’s second location to open in 2022, with LKA Edgemont Village opening on March 14th in North Vancouver, British Columbia with more to come in both Canada and the U.S. over the coming months. It also marks the company’s second location to open in the province of Ontario. LKA is currently seeking other purpose-driven franchise partners like Sexton and Clark in select markets across the province, including Ottawa, London, Kitchener/Waterloo, Kingston, and Windsor.

Outside of Ontario, Little Kitchen Academy is focused on expanding further into Alberta and select markets in British Columbia. In the U.S., LKA is currently seeking like-minded multi-unit franchisees and development partners based exclusively in Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin. Globally, Australia, Japan, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, MENA region, Singapore, Spain, and the U.K. are markets available for development.
