Following a successful launch in Vancouver four years ago that has resulted in 6 locations in the province, LKA expands north to the beautiful city of Kelowna, BC in Spring ‘24

Kelowna, BC – August 10, 2023  Little Kitchen Academy  (LKA) the first-of-its-kind Montessori-inspired cooking academy for kids ages 3 through 18, is heading north of Vancouver with a new location in Kelowna, BC Canada. The new location will be opened by Canadian radio industry veteran Paul Larsen who has owned and operated radio stations in Alberta and British Columbia for the past 15 years along with his wife Susan, a Registered Nutritional Consulting Practitioner and Culinary Nutrition Expert. Paul, Susan and their 13-year-old daughter Coco have resided in Kelowna since 2013. Parents and families are encouraged to  sign up for email updates to take advantage of priority early enrollment when it’s available.

“For several years, we’ve been seeking a truly purpose-driven opportunity and when I came across Little Kitchen Academy in 2019, it lit up my entire family” said Paul. “We loved the concept and the mission so much, we invested in LKA corporately and have been in awe watching it roll out across North America in the past few years. When the opportunity to bring Little Kitchen Academy to Kelowna came to us, we knew it was meant to be. With Susan’s background in nutrition, our daughter’s passion for cooking since an early age and the chance to enhance the lives and help develop the skills of children in our community, it could not be a better fit. We can’t wait to introduce LKA to Kelowna and the Okanagan.”

Little Kitchen Academy was founded by Montessori-trained culinary innovator Felicity Curin, her husband, proven global branding, franchise expert and serial entrepreneur, Brian Curin, and social impact investor and entrepreneur, Praveen Varshney, to empower children to make independent choices, enabling them to change their lives and those around them.

Little Kitchen Academy CEO/CMO and Co-Founder, Brian Curin, said, “We are incredibly excited to see LKA expand to the Okanagan area where we’ve long enjoyed our own travels. With the area’s recognition as a top wine region in Canada attracting people who appreciate an elevated culinary experience, we know this new location will be extremely popular with families who are looking to develop their children’s confidence and food literacy. Furthermore, Paul and his wife are great people who have understood the importance of what we teach at LKA from the beginning.”

The Kelowna location is the latest in a development plan that is currently slated to reach 187 communities across North America with even more markets open for development globally.
