LKA Students Get Special Surprise From LEGO Masters Champion Stacey Roy

News / Articles

Los Angeles (Sept. 27, 2023) – Little Kitchen Academy (LKA), the go-to for kids’ cooking classes, partnered with Canadian actress, LEGO Master Champion 2022, television personality and internationally known influencer Stacey Roy on Tuesday, September 26 at 12:30 pm at the company’s U.S. flagship LKA Westfield Century City location at 10250 Santa Monica Blvd. Unit 2907.  Roy joined a class of 6-8-year olds who learned how to create LKA’s LEGO-inspired Mosaic Sushi.

There’s one big difference between the popular food that the kids made and what Roy created:  The world champion LEGO Master used LEGOs during the 3-hour class to build 3-dimensional versions of the elegant sushi that may look tempting enough to eat but are “only for show.”

For the students, it was an opportunity for them to embrace food literacy, gain new skills and develop independence in LKA’s Montessori-inspired environment.  For Roy, the LKA event was a prelude to the launch of a new season of LEGO Masters that airs on FOX two days later, on Sept. 28.

Additionally, Stacey was surprised by a visit from Iron Chef Cat Cora who is a brand ambassador for Little Kitchen Academy and came to see the excitement.

Stacey Roy also met LKA students recently in the company’s first location in Vancouver, BC Canada and was blown away by their skills.  “It’s an amazing program.  I’ve done over 500 episodes of Cooking with Stacey… and I think these kids are better cooks than I am,” she said.

Little Kitchen Academy understands that by empowering children with practical life skills and food literacy, we will create more educated, mindful and healthy communities globally. The company does this in a joyful, inspiring and safe environment.  Pair that vision with Roy’s exuberance, love of food and LEGO skills and you had one incredible afternoon of new skills and celebrity thrills.

On, September 27, Stacey was also a guest on Little Kitchen Academy’s podcast, Meet Me in the Kitchen where she talked about the life experiences that have developed her into the energetic and creative person she is today. Ranked in the top 10% of podcasts in North America, Meet Me in the Kitchen tells intimate, unexpected stories that explore the common threads of humanity and illuminate what brings us together.
